I want you to feel good. And part of that means feeling comfortable in your own skin. I get that.

Nutrition (can we use that word rather than “diet”?) and exercise are important components in all of that. But they are by no means the whole equation.

If you’ve been doing your best to eat well and exercise regularly, yet you’re not seeing the change you thought you’d see, then you need to look at what’s happening with your hormones. Moreover (and this is where it gets really interesting), if you’re working against your hormones – undereating, or not eating enough of the right macronutrients; exercising too much or too hard; foregoing sleep to get that workout in – then you’re really just spinning your wheels.

My goal with weight management is for all of it to feel easy. I don’t want you obsessing over it; I don’t want food or exercise to occupy more mental space than it needs to. I want you to enjoy your food; move to feel good; indulge in life a little more; and appreciate your body as a beautiful, integrated system. So let’s look at hormones as a component in all of that.
