Meet Alex Binks MPT physiotherapist

Alex obtained his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and master’s degree in physiotherapy from UBC. Throughout the past 2 years Alex has spent time in orthopedic trauma and post surgical recovery at Vancouver General Hospital and UBC hospital, community care focusing on seniors’ health through Vancouver Coastal Health, and with another performance oriented private clinic in the lower mainland.

Alex has treated everything from minor aches and pains to more complex chronic conditions. For Alex, physiotherapy is more than just treating injuries, it is working with the client to support them in achieving optimal health. He likes to use a variety of hands on therapies which he mixes with exercise therapy to help target what his clients need most. Alex also works strongly with clients for prehab. He likes to say, “sometimes the best treatment for an injury is prevention!”

When he’s not in the clinic you can normally find him riding his bike or skiing in the mountains. He also likes to play tennis, hockey, run, cook and watch movies. He looks forward to putting his background in sports and knowledge in physiotherapy into the best possible care for his clients.
