Meet Matthew Rodrigueza, RMT

Matthew can offer both therapeutic and relaxation massage, adapting each session to meet individual client needs, whether they require targeted treatment for chronic pain or a calming, restorative experience.

Growing up, Matthew’s active lifestyle surrounded him with individuals dealing with various sports-related injuries. His experiences motivated him to apply that understanding of movement and injury recovery to his massage therapy practice. This focus has become a priority, ensuring he offers tailored care to help active individuals and others with similar concerns. Matthew values communication above all else and leverages his biology background from the University of British Columbia, along with his training at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, to create comprehensive treatment plans specific to each patient’s needs.

Matthew has worked in a range of outreach settings, treating clients with diverse conditions, including but not limited to chronic pain, sports injuries, developmental disorders, and postural imbalances. His therapeutic approach incorporates techniques such as trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, and myofascial release, with a strong emphasis on client education.

When not in the clinic, Matthew can often be found on the tennis court, paddling in False Creek, out for a run, lifting weights, passing a volleyball, or enjoying the occasional game of pickleball. Indoors, he enjoys unwinding with a good book and dabbling in leatherworking.
