Microneedling with Amy, Acupunturist
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling, also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), involves using a
device with fine needles to create tiny, controlled punctures in the skin’s surface. These
micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural healing process, prompting an increase in
collagen and elastin production. As the skin heals, it becomes smoother and more
resilient. It is minimally invasive and targets fine lines, wrinkles, scars and enhance
overall skin radiance.
Benefits of Microneedling:
● Boosted Collagen and Elastin Production: Encourages skin renewal and lessens
the visible signs of aging.
● Refined Skin Texture:Reduces the visibility of scars, enlarged pores, and stretch
marks.
● Diminished Hyperpigmentation: Helps achieve a more uniform skin tone by
lightening dark spots and pigmentation concerns.
● Improved Product Absorption: Enhances the efficacy of skincare products by
facilitating deeper penetration.
What to Expect:
1. Consultation: An initial evaluation will be performed to identify your skin’s needs
and treatment objectives.
2. Preparation: Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed, and a numbing cream will be
applied for your comfort.
3. Microneedling Process: A device with fine needles will gently glide over your
skin while using a hyaluronic acid serum to create controlled micro-injuries.
4. Follow-up: To achieve the best results, a series of 4-6 sessions spaced 4-6
weeks apart is typically recommended. The exact number may vary based on
individual skin issues and goals.
